IOV introduces a DNS-like protocol for the blockchain networks and a Blockchain Name Service, which is a registry for the blockchain names and the value addresses names. This allows immediate universality of the wallets implementing the protocol, as well as the atomic swap feature with any other wallet. The navigation in the ecosystem becomes human friendly, with human readable names for value addresses and for blockchains, allowing really the ecosystem to scale up.
